Books give wisdom. They are the best of friend and teacher, a human can have.
There a lot of books in this world written by various people over time. However, some books to read are rare and so fascinating that they left their footprints in the sand of history.
They change the way you look at your life, your perspective, your beliefs, basically, they change your life itself.
They make you think in different ways, and leave an impression on you.
Some lines, some emotions in those lines, and sometimes the whole story, is what makes the change.
Here are some books to read which will change your outlook on life. If you are an avid reader you must have already read them.
1. The Shiva trilogy by Amish Tripathi
There are three books to read in this series. The Shiva trilogy makes you look at the way of life about good and evil. And about the concept of God. It’s the story of Lord Shiva, who is said “the destroyer”. These books show his journey of becoming a god.
It is the story of a normal person who becomes a leader of people by his actions. Your actions and choices decide your life. In this story, Lord Shiv have made certain decisions that made him from a normal person to the highest power, the divine god.
Indeed, you will know that Good and evil are not just two sides of a coin they are like a seesaw, excess of one will lead to another. This beautiful perspective have been shown so mystically in the series.
2. A thousand Splendid Suns by Khaled Hosseini
Love can move mountains. This story moves my life. Being a girl I have always known I will become a mother one day but never knew how much mother’s love gives you strength. The tortures and ploys on women in Afghanistan are just unbelievable. These men are no less than devils who made their lives become hell on earth. And still, these two different ladies found love in each other and their children.
This story is of immense significance which shows how much man can imply their wishes on women, how much they can extract their power on the feminine side. How difficult it is for women to survive and yet there is love and hope and sacrifice in them.
There is also another side of men who are entirely different, who want to see their daughters and wives grow, read and be their equal. Men who use their power for the betterment of the society. Men who knows that a woman have the equal rights as they have, that they balances their lives.
3. The third door by Alex Banayan
This book is the best one to read if you want to have a successful career but before reaching your destination you want to live in high spirits throughout the journey.
It shows the journeys of influential leaders who make their own way and reached the top. People who made their own identity on their own.
4. The great gatsby by F Scott Fitzgerald
Life is unpredictable. You never know what can happen. And still, you hope every day will get better. This story will make you realize that every relationship you make in this life will only be successful when love comes from the heart for it from both sides. And no matter how rich you are, money can’t buy you everything.
5. Catcher in the Rye by JD Salinger
The story is about a teenager who is self-obsessed in some ways but according to me people of any age can relate to it at some point in time in one way or the other. The book represents how the negative sides affect teens. The vulgar language, promotion of smoking and drinking, and sexual references in the protagonist’s behavior definitely make you think about how these things affect life.
6. To kill a mockingbird by Harper Lee
The book is about racism, how people reach conclusions and dont even think or try to get to the truth. How racism has gone too much inside our veins without us even knowing it.
It shows how we, that is, humans are socially so much hypocritical and how we lack humanity. It emphasizes tolerance and decries prejudice. And Indeed, shows and taught the lesson about racial injustice and the destruction of innocence.
An innocent man with a family was accused of a crime, and the accusation was enough to make him a criminal. An accusation destroyed his family. He lost his life just because he was a black man living among the white.
